THE Voice UK has been a staple of British television since it first aired in 2012 and is back with a brand new season.
The coaching staff has changed over the years and here we announce the lineup for 2024.
Who are the judges on The Voice?
The cast of the series “The Voice” has changed over the years since it first aired in 2012.
The show began on BBC before moving to ITV in 2016.
And although the presenter has changed over the years, one trainer has remained constant throughout.
Here’s what we know about the cast of season 13.
Danielle Jones
Danny Jones is a musician from Bolton, Greater Manchester.
He was a founding member of the band McFly alongside Tom Fletcher.
After placing an advert in NME magazine, the couple recruited Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter.
He has been performing with the band since 2003; their first album, “Room On The Third Floor,” was released in 2004.
On February 17, 2024, Danny won the Masked Singer dressed as a piranha.
Danny was previously a judge on the children’s version of The Voice.
The star was asked what the difference was between the children’s version and the adult version.
Danny told The Voice UK: “The biggest difference between this show and The Voice Kids is that the kids come on the show purely because they have a passion for singing, so there’s less pressure and it’s all about having fun.”
“For adults, the end result is a record deal, so as a coach you have a lot more responsibility.
“The similarity is that all the talent is incredible, you get the same incredible kick when you get someone through and
and of course we took a lot of the fun from the kids’ version!”
Danny, who is accompanied by bandmate Tom, was also asked what he likes most about being a coach on the show.
He said: “I loved pitching with my buddy. Pitching alone against talent is tough, but pitching with your buddy is amazing. You have someone to draw inspiration from, which is really cool.”
Tom Fletcher
Tom Fletcher of McFly will make his debut as a coach on The Voice alongside his bandmate Danny Jones.
Tom is an English musician, composer, author and vlogger.
The star was born on July 17, 1985 in Harrow, London, and has had a significant influence on the entertainment industry.
Tom is best known as the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter of McFly.
Although it was his first time coaching on the show, his bandmate Danny had previously been a coach on The Voice Kids.
Tom was asked if Danny gave him any advice about being a coach.
He said: “Danny’s experience on The Voice Kids was an incredible help. It’s quite intense to sit in the chair and understand that this is someone’s big moment and everything depends on your opinion. Danny’s experience on The Voice Kids definitely helped me relax.”
As a veteran in the music industry, Tom was asked about the best advice he ever received. He replied, “Be the band you want to be, not the band you think you are. I’m still trying to decipher what that really means. That advice came from Tom DeLonge of Blink 182.”
Is there a new twist on The Voice this year?
Yes, Danny and Tom will be sitting on the same chair for the first time in The Voice UK history!
This means that the couple must make a joint decision before turning their chairs.
The two were asked: “In the new version, you sit on a double chair and have to agree to
Mr. Chairman, were there many differences of opinion?”
Tom said: “There was no real disagreement, but we only have 90 seconds to make our decision, so sometimes we doubt our decision while trying to figure out what the other person is thinking.
“You never want to talk about a person’s performance, so we try to figure out each other’s facial expressions.”
Tom added: “At one audition, Danny literally grabbed my hand to press the button – because I was swaying and taking my time.”
LeAnn Rimes
LeAnn Rimes made her career as a country star in the 90s and quickly developed into a superstar singer.
The talented star is now trying something different: as a new coach on The Voice UK.
Margaret LeAnn Rimes Cibrian was born on August 28, 1982 in Mississippi to Wilbur and Belinda Rimes.
She is an American singer-songwriter who got her first record deal at the age of 11.
Speaking about her role in the hit ITV series, LeAnn said: “I knew I would enjoy it, but not as much as I did.
“I love connecting with all the artists, finding songs they connect with and creating those performances.
“For me, it’s not just about creating performances, but about creating moments that are really powerful.”
LeAnn was also asked what the hardest thing about working in the music industry is.
She said: “I have been in this business for over 30 years and I am one of the lucky ones that after all this time people still want to listen to me.
“The hardest part is the ups and downs – learning to ride the rollercoaster and learning as an artist to just do your work, do what moves you and hopefully connect with people.”
Will.i.am
Will.i.am was born William James Adam Jr. in LA, California.
The American singer-songwriter, DJ and rapper is best known for founding the hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas in 1995.
In 2007, he also co-founded “Paradiso Girls” with Robin Antin, a European spin-off of the “Pussycat Dolls”.
Will.i.am has been a judge on The Voice UK since its inception and was also a judge on The Voice Australia in 2014, when he coached Anja Nissen to victory.
On The Voice UK, Will.i.am coached Jermain Jackman to victory in 2014.
Will.i.am has released four solo albums and has worked as a producer with artists such as Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
He suggested that this year’s contestants were exceptional, saying: “The level of talent on this series is breathtaking – this is a whole new level. We can showcase a lot of great artists this year.”
Sir Tom Jones
Sir Tom Jones is a singing legend from Pontypridd, Wales.
He has been a coach on every season of The Voice UK since it began in 2012, with the exception of 2016 when he was temporarily replaced by Paloma Faith.
Sir Tom has won the series twice – in 2012 with Leanne Mitchell and in 2018 with Ruti Olajugbagbe.
He has won several awards for his achievements in the music industry, including a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1966.
His first hit, “It’s Not Unusual,” reached number 1 in the British charts in 1965.
In 2006, he was knighted in the Queen’s New Year Honours.
Sir Tom hinted that all the brilliant acts on The Voice this year are on his team.
He said: “There are quite a few and of course they are all on my team haha. I have three great acts, they are all different, unique and have brilliant voices.”
