Kia Proctorthe ex-girlfriend of Noah Newton who has four children with the former NFL star, spoke openly (and stylishly) about what led to her very “public” split from Newton in a new vlog she shared with her Shades of Kia YouTube channel.

Answering a series of questions from subscribers, Proctor, who has four biological children with the former New England Patriots player and a daughter Newton claims as his own, said she thought she and the athlete were getting married when she learned he had a child with model LaReina Shaw in 2020.
Cam and Proctor had been together since 2012.
“My partner and I have separated, I am a single mother of five children,” Proctor said at minute 7:41 of the vlog.I had never been married, but I thought the relationship was going to lead to marriage, and then my partner at the time had someone else’s baby. And he kind of wanted to force it on me, and I wasn’t really ready for that.”
“I mean, I don’t really know how to describe it or talk about it… He had a baby outside of our relationship, which I wasn’t OK with, and we weren’t married.”
Proctor said it was “heartbreaking” that Newton had a child with Shaw
The matriarch and beauty entrepreneur was heartbroken to learn the news, as she believed she and Newtown shared something “special.” Proctor explained that the baby incident left her feeling like she had “no choice but to leave” and move on.

“I had to choose between myself and my children and not what he wanted to do to me.”
Despite the infidelity that led to their unfortunate split, Proctor praised Newton for being a good father. Additionally, she praised Cam for their “excellent co-parenting schedule,” noting that while it’s a “work in progress,” it continues to improve and will only get better with time.
“I think we’re doing the best we can and making it work for the kids… I think everything gets better over time. As long as the parents are good and they’re doing well, the kids will be fine. So as long as they see a healthy relationship, that’s the best we can do.”
The former couple takes turns caring for the children on Sundays. Proctor noted that this smooth co-parenting has allowed her to focus on her personal career goals, including launching her own cosmetics line and The Shades of Kia YouTube channel.
“I feel like nothing can hold me back now because I’m finally at a good point in my life,” she added. “I’ve experienced a lot of healing.”
In addition to his four children with Proctor, Newton has a young daughter with comedian Jasmin Brown, whom he has been dating since 2021.
Their daughter was born in March of this year. He considers Shaw’s eldest son from a previous relationship as his own, as well as Proctor’s eldest daughter from her previous relationship, effectively making him the father of eight children.

During an interview in 2022 on The Pivot PodcastNewton apologized to Proctor for cheating and “endangering” her family of five.
“My long-term girlfriend at the time, you know, we had a family,” he said at the time. “I hurt her and I put our family at risk at the time. I made a mistake and had a child outside of our relationship. Coming from where I am and the way I am, no one will ever talk about it because a lot of people in high places make humanistic mistakes and I can honestly say I made a humanistic mistake. When Caesar Lorenzo Newton was born, I didn’t care because all I could do was be the best person I could be.”

Back in 2020, BOSSIP exclusively reported that Newton sued Proctor in 2019 for paternity, joint custody and visitation rights for their four children.
Newton admitted he signed the children’s birth certificates but wanted DNA proof. He also said he had voluntarily paid child support but asked the judge to set a dollar amount for future support.
But Proctor countersued against Newton, arguing that she should have sole custody of the children because she was moving out of state and away from Newton, and given his NFL career, joint custody was practical. She later asked for $15,000 a month in child support, noting that she “had not worked during their six years together and had no means of supporting herself.”

Although he’s busy with his eight children, the former NFL star recently told celebrity psychologist Dr. Cheyenne Bryant that he’s open to having more children in the future, but he may be hesitant about marriage due to his “commitment anxiety.”
Kia, in turn, confirmed on her YouTube channel that she wants to have another child, a little girl, but only with a husband.
