ESPN has announced its theme song for SEC football games of the 2024 college football season.
The 2024 college football season will look and feel a little different this season. Teams have joined new conferences, the expanded playoffs will be introduced this season, and there will no longer be divisions within conferences. For the SEC, another aspect of the gameday atmosphere will look and feel a little different this season.
This season, the SEC is partnering with ESPN for game broadcasts and special games. The prestigious conference has had a long-standing relationship with CBS for many years, but this season the switch to ESPN becomes official. SEC fans will always remember the jingle that blared from their televisions when the game kicked off at 3:30 p.m. in prime time, but this season they’ll have to get used to a new theme song. ESPN released its SEC football theme song on Thursday:
Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the telecast for those who don’t have a ticket to Saturday’s South Carolina vs. Old Dominion game.
On Saturday, August 31, fans will get their first look at the new offense led by QB LaNorris Sellers. All of the players this offseason have talked about their ground-and-pound attack led by Arkansas transfer Raheim Sanders.
Defensively, the Gamecocks are expected to have one of the better units in the conference this season. Led by veterans on all three levels of defense, the team will have a chance to pick up where they left off last season.
