In an article posted on the company’s website, Coligado wrote that federal cybersecurity agencies should look for candidates with knowledge of incident response, threat analysis and mitigation, and compliance and risk management.
The Smoothstack manager also called on authorities to invest in cybersecurity training and infrastructure to strengthen their security posture.
When it comes to software development, federal agencies should look for candidates with knowledge of agile development, DevOps practices, and automation.
According to Coligado, there is a need in the federal sector for professionals with knowledge of algorithm development, AI integration and ethical AI, as well as those who are proficient in programming languages such as Python and have experience with the TensorFlow and PyTorch frameworks.
“As digital transformation continues, the importance of these IT skills will only increase. This underscores the need for ongoing training and education to meet the increasing demands of the federal sector,” he noted.
