According to Essence, Kia and Newton started dating in 2013 and stayed together for about seven years before splitting in 2020.. During this time, they had his first four biological children. Additionally, he continues to publicly claim that her eldest daughter from another relationship is his own. As Proctor revealed, he had a child with LaReina in 2020 and also claims that her eldest son is his own.
He is the father and stepfather of eight children. At the beginning of the year he welcomed his youngest child, Jasmine BrownThey have reportedly been together since 2021.

Speaking on their YouTube platformIn “Shade Of Kia,” the mother of five clarified that she and Cam were never married and hinted that Newton tried to force her to accept his betrayal.
“I thought the relationship was going to lead to marriage, and then my partner at the time had a baby outside of our relationship. He kind of wanted to force it on me, and I wasn’t really ready for that… I mean, I don’t really know how to describe it or talk about it. He had a baby outside of our relationship that I wasn’t okay with.”
After the betrayal was revealed, Kia Proctor decided to move on. She had believed they had “something special.” However, when the incident with the baby happened, she felt like she “had no choice but to leave,” Proctor said.
“I had to choose between myself and my children and not what he wanted to do to me,” said Cam Newton’s ex.
On a different note, she thanked Cam for their “amazing co-parenting schedule.” She said it’s an “ongoing project” that’s getting better and will continue to get better with time. She also revealed that they take turns having the kids every Sunday. Meanwhile, LaReina Shaw has apparently not responded to Kia’s comments.

Kia’s “truth,” as her YouTube video is titled, comes in a few days going viral for Cam Newton. The former professional athlete recently had psychologist Dr. Cheyenne Bryant on his podcast. During their conversation, they talked about Newton’s eight children, who are spread across three different households. He revealed to Dr. Bryant that he wants more children, saying that desire outweighs his desire to get married.
Social media users took a few snippets from their conversation and posted them! People blasted both him and his current girlfriend Jasmin Brown for his comments, especially when he seemed to imply that he was still looking for a woman.
Not long after the clips started trending, he went to a bar with Jasmin. A video shared on Instagram shows the couple singing together. Afterward, Jasmin spoke on her Instagram stories about her love of helping others.
