AEW recently signed several former WWE Superstars who struggled to find their place under Vince McMahon’s booking. Although Triple H breathed new life into WWE, Ricochet chose not to renew his contract and a backstage attack by Bron Breakker was the reason for his exit from the company shortly before his contract expired. Ricochet did not stay away from the spotlight for long, however, as he soon returned with Tony Khan’s AEW.
Ricochet made his in-ring debut for AEW at All In, taking part in the Casino Gauntlet match. Although he did not secure the guaranteed title shot as Christian Cage eventually earned that victory, Ricochet quickly rebounded by winning the main event against Kyle Fletcher on the August 28 episode of AEW Dynamite. These first two matches featured temporary entrance music, but a new theme song is on the way.
AEW music producer Mikey Rukus has teased the upcoming theme for Ricochet. He has been working diligently on the track and the elements fit together well, promising a strong final product.
It’s understandable that fans expected Tony Khan to have Ricochet’s full performance package ready for his Wembley debut, but the original music seems to have been just a placeholder. Thankfully, this temporary solution will soon make way for something that better suits Ricochet’s style.
Although the full title has not been revealed, it’s clear that Ricochet’s AEW theme is going to be something special. Rukus, known for his expertise in the recording studio, offered a behind-the-scenes look at the process in an extensive video, showing off each element of the theme and giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
The video is a bit long, but it’s full of interesting insights. Rukus analyzes each component of the song and gives a little taste of what it will sound like when it all comes together. While there’s no exact timeline for when the final version will be ready, it’s clear that Ricochet’s new entrance music is on the way.
